Research

My research lies at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. I study how organizations develop and implement novel strategies to create competitive advantage and pursue ambitious, transformative goals. In particular, I am interested in how firms learn and adapt, how they solve complex technological problems, and how they create and capture value under high uncertainty. I employ quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches, drawing on settings ranging from digital platforms and entrepreneurial ventures to professional sports and the commercial space industry. More recently, my research has focused on the strategic and organizational challenges of the emerging space economy.

Teaching

I teach strategy and innovation at the undergraduate, master’s, MBA, and doctoral levels. At IE Business School, I teach the core BBA course “Strategies for Competition” and the electives “Innovative Business Models and Digital Transformation” and “The Business and Economics of Space,” both of which I developed. I have also taught courses on corporate innovation and strategic entrepreneurship. My teaching emphasizes interactive learning through case discussions, analytical problem solving, case competitions, and the application of research methods to real-world strategic challenges.
